We are looking for a Responsible and detailed electrical designer, preparation of bill of materials, material purchase specifications and quality assurance systems related to transformers in order to meet customers technical requirements and quality expectations. Your Duties would be: 1.1. Advertise vacancies by drafting and placing adverts 2. Preparation of detailed electrical designs of distribution, power & special transformers up-to 20MVA, 33kV class. 3. Verification of Electrical/Mechanical design outputs. 4. Assist marketing department in preparation of tender documents. 5. Preparation of manufacturing details and design data sheets. 6. Preparation of purchase specifications and assistance to Purchase Department in Vendor evaluations. 7. Technical assistance to the production and procurement departments during manufacturing. 8. Decisions on deviations from design during manufacturing. 9. Assistance in finalizing the Budget for R&D. 10. Root cause analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement of existing designs based on manufacturing or site feedbacks. 11. Development of new products in line with customer expectations, market intelligence and to increase competitiveness. Specific Objectives and Performance measurement criteria: Design optimization & cost reduction of standard designs. Customer satisfaction indices including reduction in complaints, acceptance during factory inspections. New product development. Annual savings in materials. Planned and actual expenditures. Timely release of all design outputs like BOM, Core cutting schedule, Manufacturing instructions to production. Preparation of effective tender design with lowest RMC possible, at the same time also maintaining quality standards & fulfilling customer requirement, in order to enable marketing department to deal with competitive market. Providing guidance along with relevant input to mechanical designer/draftsman. Education : First class Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (BE Electrical).
