We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Electrical Design Engineer

to join our innovative team in Dubai. In this role, you will lead the electrical design process for a variety of projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, sustainable, and high-quality electrical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with at least 5 years of experience in electrical design within an engineering consultancy environment in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Design Development:

Lead electrical design for complex projects, from concept through to detailed design and execution. Develop efficient and innovative electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Conduct electrical load calculations, fault level analysis, and ensure all designs are compliant with local standards and regulations. Collaborate with structural, mechanical, and architectural teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems into the overall design.

2. Project Coordination & Client Interaction:

Act as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal teams for electrical design-related matters. Prepare and present electrical design proposals, addressing client feedback and making necessary revisions. Ensure all designs align with project timelines, budgets, and client requirements

3. Construction Documentation:

Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculation reports for construction teams and contractors. Ensure that all electrical designs comply with local codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability requirements. Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation from contractors.

4. Site Supervision & Quality Control:

Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, ensuring that electrical systems are installed according to design specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical design issues or discrepancies encountered during construction. Ensure that installations meet quality standards, safety requirements, and cost-effective practices

5. Team Collaboration & Leadership:

Work closely with engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure all project aspects are integrated and executed efficiently. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

6. Sustainability & Innovation:

Implement sustainable electrical design practices, including energy-efficient solutions and environmentally responsible technologies. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in electrical design, including advancements in smart building technologies and renewable energy systems.

Key Qualifications:

1. Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) is an advantage.

2. Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience within an engineering consultancy environment in Dubai. Proven experience designing electrical systems for large-scale projects such as commercial, residential, or industrial developments.

3. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and other building services. Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design practices.

4. Local Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of Dubai's local regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., DEWA regulations, IEC). Familiarity with the approval processes of Dubai Municipality and other local authorities.

5. Project Management Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Experience in preparing project schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation.

6. Communication & Presentation Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). Ability to prepare and present clear and compelling technical reports and presentations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients, consultants, and contractors effectively.

7. Problem-Solving & Creativity:

Strong ability to analyze and solve complex electrical design challenges in a practical and cost-effective manner. Creative in developing innovative solutions while adhering to client requirements and industry standards.

8. Attention to Detail:

High attention to detail in design development, documentation, and quality control. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

9. Cultural Sensitivity:

Understanding of the cultural context and sensitivities in electrical design for Dubai and the UAE.
