Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer - Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.
Design LV/MV power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
Ensure designs comply with project requirements, local regulations, codes, and standards.
Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
Support construction teams with design clarifications and site queries.
Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and technical meetings.
Coordinate with authorities and consultants for approvals and inspections.
Ensure designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and buildable.
Maintain accurate design documentation and revision control.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in electrical design for building or construction projects.
Knowledge of LV/MV systems, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
5-7 years of experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with design calculations, drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
