Job Description

Electrical Control and Protection Engineer-
  • Design review for high voltage Power network and substations including Control and Protection as per TRANNSCO/ADNOC specifications
  • Familiar with TRANSCO and ADNOC Technical specification requirements
  • Approved Control and Protection Engineer by DEWA, TRANSCO, ADNOC
  • Perform protection relay calculation and fault studies
  • Crate and review protective relaying settings for protection and monitoring of major power equipment including 132kV/400kV GIS, Power Transformers, Transmission Lines, EHV/MV/LV Cable, DC systems and aux equipment
  • Ensure designs approved for construction comply with relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures
  • Review Protection Single Line Diagrams, AC & DC schematic, cable schedule, termination schedule, Wiring Diagram, specifications, Power System Studies including Protection coordination, Equipment sizing calculations
  • Sound Knowledge in Substation protection system Distance Protection, Differential Protection (High Impedance and Low Impedance), REF Protection and O/C & E/F Protections etc.
  • Calculations Relay Setting, CT & VT Sizing Etc.
  • Auxiliary Power System design like Low Voltage AC Panel & DC Panel requirements
  • Preparation of signal list
  • Interface knowledge with Primary Equipment, Bay Controller Units /SCADA/RTU
  • Knowledge of Mimic diagram, Alarm system, metering system etc.
