Job Description

Responsible for overseeing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across DU Civil and DUSFAN projects. Ensures compliance with local regulations, company policies, and client requirements while promoting a strong safety culture on all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

EHS Leadership & Strategy:

Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and standards for all civil and DUSFAN projects. Lead the EHS team and provide guidance, mentoring, and training to site personnel. Promote a proactive safety culture across all project sites.

Compliance & Regulations:

Ensure compliance with UAE EHS regulations, DU requirements, DUSFAN project standards, and other statutory obligations. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance. Prepare reports for management, highlighting EHS performance and compliance status.

Risk Management:

Identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation measures. Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions. Maintain records of incidents, training, inspections, and audits.

Training & Awareness:

Conduct EHS training programs for all site staff and subcontractors. Ensure all employees are aware of safety practices, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and subcontractors to ensure EHS integration into all project activities. Participate in project planning meetings to ensure EHS considerations are included.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives to continuously improve safety performance and reduce incidents. Implement best practices in occupational health, environmental sustainability, and safety management systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in telecom or civil construction projects. Strong knowledge of UAE EHS laws, DU & DUSFAN project safety standards. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficient in MS Office and EHS reporting tools.
