Job Description
Overview: A wonderful couple in Umm Al Quwain, UAE, is seeking a top-notch newborn care specialist to assist with caring for their first child. The baby is due at the end of August 2025, but the parents would like the candidate to join them a few weeks before this date. The schedule is to be determined, but would be for 6 days per week, with a minimum of twelve weeks and up to six months. The parents want to be hands-on and as involved as possible; experience working with first-time mothers would be helpful. When not on duty, the successful candidate will be provided with their own bedroom and private bathroom on the same floor as the baby. The parents are seeking professional, kind, thoughtful, experienced candidates who have strong communication and social skills, and an easygoing attitude. The ideal candidate must have a positive and calm demeanor, and be able to read a room. Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Keeping the baby's spaces stocked, organized, and tidy
- Assisting with creating and maintaining an effective sleep and feeding schedule
- Sleep conditioning and training
- Providing general support and guidance to first-time parents while respecting their personal preferences
- Provide developmental milestone encouragement
- Fluent in English
- Warm, kind, and nurturing
- Lactation experience
- Willing to take direction
- Pleasant demeanor and good sense of humor
- Ability to go with the flow while providing structure and consistency
- Clean and organized
- Must ideally have at least 5+ years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist
- Midwifery experience would be a bonus, but not essential
- The family currently have no travel plans, but would like the candidate to be willing to travel with them if required
- Must be up to date with vaccinations
- Must be available from mid-August to the end of November, with the option to extend if possible
- The candidate should be able to provide excellent references
- 2K+ AED daily DOE
