The Education Program Specialist will report to and work directly with the Senior EL Program Manager to support key components of the English language, exchange, grants, and professional training program related work in Alexandria. Most of the Education Program Specialist's time will be devoted to English Language programs, certification, professional skills training, and grant organization activities. The specialist will also be responsible for all admin tasks related to English language Face to Face classes in Alexdandria RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Issue payment requests for IC education support, instructors and trainers
  • Issue requests for payment for corporate clients
  • Assist in setting up Amideast Online attendance, quizzes and supplemental material and downloading grades for future reference
  • Oversee Alexandria grant implementation in accordance with donor's requirements and set deliverables
  • Organize and plan all procurement and logistics of Alexandria grants
  • Manage and maintain data collection using the Proclass system for all grant and public students
  • Prepare trainers' and teachers' schedules for grants
  • Review and create timelines for any grant and maintain tractability of all reporting requirement
  • Make travel arrangements including ticketing reservation, vehicle request, and visa applications for special grant programs
  • Support Account managers & Senior EL Program Manager in corporate client enrollments, logistics, invoicing, and reporting
  • Organize and arrange the EL public classes in Alexandria, PMP and soft skills courses/workshops and foresee all administrative aspects including attendance and evaluations
  • Schedule trainers' and teachers' interviews in coordination with Senior EL Program Manager
  • Meet regularly with the Senior EL Program Manager, Accounts Manager to remain informed of current services and to discuss possible additional services
  • Perform certifications for educational documents and ensure courier process is adhered to
  • Organize Amideast's participation in employment fairs, educational events and conferences as well finalizing registrations for all these events
  • Organize Amideast U.S. university fair and ensure standardization with exchange and marketing department in Cairo
  • Manage other tasks as assigned through the Senior EL Program Manager
  • Act as a backup for Senior EL Program Manager in Alexandria
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Required
  • Ability to recognize and fulfill the clients' needs
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Anticipate and react effectively to problems
  • The ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints and to remain courteous when faced with difficult or angry customers
  • Open and clear communicator.
  • Initiate and stimulate cooperation within a team
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in related field
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred:
  • US Study or diploma
  • Minimum TOEIC score of 700 or equivalent
