Job Title: Editor

JOB PURPOSE

To develop plans, strategy, regulations and policies for Content Development unit of DCT by coordinating with stakeholders, sector and department heads to create, review and edit brand appropriate content for Public and Media releases in Arabic and ensure that the content is in-line with DCT's Marketing and Communications strategy and the overall Abu Dhabi Government's strategic direction.

Key Accountabilities

Content Strategy & Standards

Adopt standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.

Adopt the usability tests to gauge content effectiveness. Gather data and handle analytics and work with stakeholders for particular content to revise and measure particular content and marketing goals.

Participate in content creation and establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.

Review, edit and rewrite content for DCT's Public and Media releases in Arabic.

Facilitate content creation in Arabic for Public and Media releases in-line with DCT's Marketing and Communications strategy and the overall Abu Dhabi Government's strategic direction.

Ensure that all Arabic content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print and in-person.

Ensure that all the circulations and related press releases, briefing documents and media citations in Arabic are in lines with the grammatical rules and writing style.

Check for the accuracy of all the Arabic content to be released by DCT on different platforms.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

Follow all relevant section policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Collaboration

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Content Development unit in order to facilitate flow of information to build awareness in those areas.

Day-to-Day Operations

Follow the day-to-day operations set by the Content Development Unit Head in the Content Development Unit to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high-quality outputs.

Report on a regular basis to Content Development Unit Head on the operational activities of Content Development Unit, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required to keep the Line Manager informed and updated on the section's activities.

EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)

Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Change Management

Enable a culture susceptible to change management by communicating the business case for change and benefits to staff so that employees are motivated to take a 'hands-on' and 'can-do' approach to DCT's new business challenges, participating in the development of new initiatives, meeting planned targets, and demonstrating preferred high-performance behaviours.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES

Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)

Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.

Experience

0 to 2 years of experience in Content Development & Management field.
