Position Summary

The EdTech & AI Integration Officer will lead the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of educational technologies and artificial intelligence tools to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes. This role will work closely with faculty, IT teams, and academic leadership to integrate innovative AI-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives and compliance with data privacy and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

AI & EdTech Strategy

Develop and execute strategies for integrating AI-powered tools and platforms into academic and administrative processes. Identify emerging technologies (e.g., adaptive learning systems, AI tutoring, predictive analytics) that support student success and faculty efficiency. Create guidelines for ethical and responsible use of AI in education.

Implementation & Integration

Oversee deployment of EdTech and AI tools, ensuring compatibility with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and institutional IT infrastructure. Collaborate with IT and instructional design teams to ensure smooth integration of AI solutions with existing platforms. Manage pilot programs for AI-driven initiatives and evaluate results for scalability.

Training & Support

Design and deliver faculty training programs on AI tools, digital teaching strategies, and data-informed instruction. Provide ongoing support to faculty, staff, and students in using EdTech and AI systems effectively. Develop self-help resources, tutorials, and documentation.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Track and assess the impact of AI tools on student engagement, retention, and academic performance. Monitor technology performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for system updates or problem resolution. Regularly review usage data to improve adoption and outcomes.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with institutional policies, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, FERPA), and ethical AI practices. Establish clear protocols for data protection and AI transparency.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience

3-5 years of experience in educational technology implementation, AI applications, or digital learning innovation. Hands-on experience with LMS (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and AI tools (ChatGPT, AI grading, adaptive learning systems). Strong background in training and faculty development.

Skills

In-depth understanding of AI applications in education. Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities. Ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions for educators.
