Roles and Responsibilities Core Knowledge Areas in Economics

Microeconomics : Understanding individual and firm-level decision-making. Topics: Supply and demand, consumer behavior, production theory, market structures.

Macroeconomics : Analyzing economy-wide phenomena. Topics: GDP, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy.

Econometrics : Applying statistical methods to economic data. Tools: Regression analysis, time series analysis.

Development Economics : Studying the economic aspects of developing countries. Topics: Poverty, inequality, sustainable development.

Behavioral Economics : Exploring the psychological factors that influence economic decisions.

Environmental Economics : Examining the economic impact of environmental policies and natural resource management. Technical and Quantitative Skills

Mathematics : Proficiency in calculus, algebra, and optimization for economic modeling.

Statistics and Data Analysis : Using statistical techniques to interpret data and test hypotheses.

Economic Modeling : Building theoretical models to analyze and predict economic behavior.
