Job Details Job Title: Economic Modelling Lead Department: Business Intelligence Section: Data Science & Analytics Direct Manager: Data Science & Analytics Section Head

Role Purpose Manage and lead on setting up and shaping the Economics Modelling function within DCT and provide advisory services on all economics related research, analyses and models. Closely collaborate with other Government Organizations such as Abu Dhabi Executive Office and Statistics Center Abu Dhabi to shape the wider economics ecosystem in-line with the department's desired and defined key objectives and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities Economic Modelling Management and Operations Lead on providing all DCT sectors and departments Economic Advisory Services for all economics research, model and analyses in-line with the defined goals. Shape and Oversee accuracy and reliability of all economic models - must be able to showcase technical understanding of models Manage representing DCT in Abu Dhabi Government wide economics related workshops and initiatives as per the objectives of the department. Lead and conduct required research on topics of relevance, beginning by collecting information, developing methodologies, conducting analysis and reporting on the potential outcomes, risks and recommendations Develop and apply analytical models, data modelling techniques, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and assessments to measure values and assess key drivers Apply data analysis and data modelling techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of the corporate information requirements, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components Perform data analysis tasks independently including variance analysis, correlations, trend analysis, etc. using diverse data sets available readily or custom-created to deliver actionable business insights Communicate effectively and develop the right tools to support sharing research/analytical outcomes including developing the required story boards, reports, data visualizations, PowerPoint slides, infographics, etc. depending on the target audience Act as the subject matter expert of Economics Business Processes specific to different business areas. Keep a track of trends, patterns and correlation in case of complex data sets in-line with the defined and desired goals and objectives.

Reporting & Collaborations Lead on establishing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the required collaboration mechanisms to ensure timely and effective project deliveries. Lead on preparing progress reports on key updates for all key economic modelling projects, escalating red flags / potential delays for timely resolution in order to achieve the defined KPIs and SLAs.

Shared Activity Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies. Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager. Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Demonstrate compliance to organization's values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

External Abu Dhabi Executive Office (ADEO) and other Government of Abu Dhabi executive entities Market Research Firms and Consultants

Qualifications Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Economics, Public Policy, or any other decree within relevant industry.

Experience At least 4 to 7 years of experience of advisory/consultancy experience in economic modelling. Proven track or evidence-based recommendations to support in economic tools/models/software applications.

Skills Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing Arabic bilingual highly desirable but not mandatory Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) Administrative skills and attention to detail Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner Expert knowledge on rebates schemes, preferably accustomed with UAE best practices Experience with business planning Extensive experience with program management related to finance and policy
