Job Description

The e-Commerce Marketing specialist reports to the e-Commerce Marketing Manager and is responsible for developing flydubai\'s sales and market strategy to maximise short and long term online revenue in GCC, Africa and Indian Subcontinent. This role will also be responsible for the implementation, development, growth and management of flydubai\'s ancillary products.

In this role you will be responsible for analysing and benchmarking flydubai\'s online performance, monitoring competitor performance and helping to set flydubai\'s e-Commerce sales and market strategy to maximise online revenue and channel contribution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Activities

1. Develop flydubai\'s e-Commerce sales and market strategy for each point of sale to ensure flydubai meets their e-Commerce KPIs and revenue targets.

2. Monitor and analyse flydubai sales and forecasted sale trends to make recommendations on market-specific promotional fares to stimulate demand, campaign activity, market opportunities, growth opportunities, areas of concern and areas that are performing well.

3. Collaborate with Revenue Management and Commercial counterparts on market and route performance, competitor pricing trends and market dynamics and opportunities to determine appropriate actions, including segment strategies for key online markets.

4. Work with staff across the organisation to design and develop online pricing initiatives using relevant analysis and insights to maximise revenue with optimal seat allocation.

5. Develop a deep understanding of our product and services, value proposition, target audiences and distribution channels to help develop the most effective e-Commerce sales and market strategy for your markets.

6. Analyse all data points to develop benchmark KPIs, including the efficiency and effectiveness of e-Commerce sales strategies, revenue forecasting and tracking. Recommend improvements as required.

7. Conduct and analyse market research to identify opportunities in new markets, products and services.

8. Maximise sales opportunities of ancillary services (hotels, car hire, insurance).

9. Responsible for the implementation, development, growth and management of flydubai\'s ancillary products. This includes but not limited to hotels, car rental and insurance services.

10. Monitor the effectiveness of flydubai ancillary products and identify opportunities for growth to maximize revenue and meet e-Commerce ancillary revenue and KPI targets.

11. Manage contract negotiations with new and existing ancillary partners and provide input to the development of ancillary contracts and services.

12. Ensure the smooth running of flydubai\'s ancillary services to swiftly resolve all operational and customer service issues. This will include following up on all service failures and liaising with relevant departments within flydubai and external organisations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Transportation, Mathematics, Economic, Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus)
Experience
  • 5+ years experience in corporate sales and marketing experience at a reputable mid-tier corporate, preferably in aviation
  • 2+ years in commercial, airline sales or revenue optimisation
  • Experience working with large disparate data sets and providing actionable insights
  • Professional work experience in analytic techniques applied to customer valuation, marketing ROI, design of experiment, and customer segmentation
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel
Knowledge / Skills
  • Ability to interact and present your ideas to various levels of an organisation to explain and gain support for initiatives
  • Flexible, creative, and a self-starter who will roll up their sleeves and get the job done in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to manage a huge variety of data and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to translate data into customer insights that helps to create successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an outstanding team player
