We're hiring an E-Commerce Business Manager to own the commercial and strategic side of a new direct-to-consumer brand. Hands-on execution (ads, creative, development) sits with our specialist agencies--you'll steer the ship, set targets, and hold partners accountable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Growth & KPIs - Define revenue, CAC, ROAS, AOV, retention targets; approve media budgets.
Brand & CX - Set positioning, tone, visual guidelines; sign-off on Shopify UX and creative assets.
Tech Roadmap - Prioritize Shopify features, apps and integrations; manage the product backlog.
Merchandising & Pricing - Plan catalogue, margins and promo calendar.
Ops & Fulfilment - Choose and monitor 3PL/last-mile partners; own SLA and cost KPIs.
Finance & Reporting - Full P&L, board decks, cash-flow forecasts.
Compliance - Oversee UAE VAT, consumer-protection and data-privacy requirements.
Agency & Vendor Management - Brief, benchmark and performance-review all external partners.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
Working knowledge of Shopify, email/CRM, Meta/Google/TikTok ads and social--enough to challenge agencies.
Proven record briefing, QA-ing and motivating external marketing/creative teams.
Familiarity with UAE/GCC fulfilment, BNPL (Tabby, Tamara) and 5 % VAT.
Data-driven; comfortable turning GA4 / BI dashboards into board insights.
Fluent English; Arabic a plus.
FIRST-YEAR SUCCESS METRICS
Shopify storefront kept continuously updated and conversion-optimized (UX, speed, merchandising, CRO).
Revenue & ROAS targets hit in collaboration with the performance agency.
Margin discipline--fulfilment and COGS within budget.
Baseline retention established through lifecycle programs.
Monthly performance pack delivered to founders/investors.
