Job Description

1. The Cardiovascular Technologist provides timely and accurate non-invasive cardiac ultrasound testing and transesophageal echo studies as required approved protocols and procedures

2. Must be able to communicate with medical/technical personnel and patients

3. Prioritizes ordered testing and request for new services, based upon clinical assessment ensuring a timely delivery of testing which is appropriate to the acuity of a patient's condition

4. Demonstrates flexibility related to varying demand for services

5. Provides high quality patient care considering age specific, developmental and cultural needs through competent practice and application

6. Maintains confidentiality in line with current HIPPA standards

7. Participate in clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Nursing Units, Cardiovascular Laboratory, Surgery and Outreach

8. Know and adhere to the principles of Echocardiography, including technical factors, equipment function, transducer selection, patient care and safety

9. Be accountable for patient, self, family, coworkers' and volunteers' well-being while performing echocardiography

Education: Bachalor's degree in science/ Cardiovascular

Experience: Min 2 years of Experience as echo tech

License: DHA/ DHA Eligibility letter
