The Sheikh Zayed Academy for Boys is looking to appoint a Digital Innovation Specialist. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Innovation Specialist to join our Elementary and Early Years teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and education and be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents to promote effective use of technology in the classroom. Apple Professional Learning Specialist or Apple Distinguished Educator status is desirable. Responsibilities:

• Identify training needs for Elementary and Early Years teachers and students.
• Provide ongoing training according to the school\xe2\x80\x99s needs of our one-to-one iPad deployment program.
• Co-teach lessons and facilitate STEAM-based lessons to support technology integration.
• Monitor and address misuse of iPads in the classroom.
• Train teachers and students in digital safety practices.
• Communicate with grade level leads and the Lead Digital Innovation Specialist to develop a comprehensive, technology-rich curriculum.
• Work with teachers and parents to promote the integration of technology in the classroom in meaningful ways.
• Motivate and support staff in developing their confidence and skills in the use of technology.
• Promote technology and its integration to the wider school community.
• Support the renewal of Apple Distinguished Schools status.
• To assess the effectiveness of the Digital Innovation program in school.
• Research and trial new apps and approaches which could benefit the school.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant subject
• PGCE or equivalent in Education
• A minimum of 3 years teaching experience
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
