Job Description

Role Overview:

The Duct Factory Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes in a ducting production facility. This includes ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Operations Management

Oversee daily factory operations from raw material intake to finished product delivery. Plan production schedules in alignment with project timelines and sales demand. Develop long-term production and capacity expansion strategies.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage production, maintenance, quality control, stores, and logistics teams. Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and ensure continuous staff development. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and efficiency.

Production Efficiency & Cost Control

Optimize processes to increase output and reduce operational costs. Minimize material wastage and reduce machine downtime. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement lean manufacturing techniques.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with industry standards. Implement and maintain quality assurance systems. Handle client or consultant inspections and audits.
5.

Maintenance & Equipment Management

Ensure proper maintenance of machinery. Schedule preventive maintenance and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
6.

Procurement & Inventory Control

Coordinate with purchase and store teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Maintain optimal stock levels and avoid overstocking or shortages.
7.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Ensure the factory adheres to health and safety laws and guidelines. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
8.

Reporting & Coordination

Prepare and present weekly/monthly production reports to senior management. Collaborate with design, planning, and site execution teams to align production with project needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Minimum 7-10 years of experience in duct fabrication At least 3-5 years in a managerial role
