THIS IS A 100% TRAVEL POSITION. ALL TRAVEL PAID BY EMPLOYER!!! Voxelmaps Inc is currently working with a major technology company to collect map data across a number of Countries. The collection of map data involves using LiDar, digital imagery systems and GPS instruments to collect raw data for map production system. Upon completion of collecting data each day, you will transfer the data to an online platform through the electronic device provided.
As part of this project we are seeking people to operate and navigate the vehicles around the areas to be mapped. We are currently recruiting in the Middle East region. We are looking for mapping operators in Dubai, UAE or Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia for a project spanning the GCC. United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabian citizenship will get moved to the top of the list. We are looking for Vehicle Mapping Operators (navigation and the operation of the Technical Equipment) who are enthusiastic, friendly and safe. You will be working as part of a larger team so being personable is required. You should be comfortable working for long periods (approximately 8-10 hrs per day) and have experience in operating/navigating in all situations, i.e. cities, freeways, suburban and rural. You should have a working knowledge of GPS and navigation applications. You should have a basic understanding of operating a computer (basic software) and can maneuver between different software applications on a tablet device provided. Technical operation does not require any experience or need for programming.
This position will require travel to the USA for up to 3 weeks for training, then return to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to start collection. Candidate must qualify to obtain the proper Visas to enter into Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bharain, and Qatar for continued collection.
Mapping Technical Operator & Navigator Responsibilities:

• Porject pre-planning
• Operates vehicle in safe and orderly manner
• Ensure accurate collection of data
• Operates LiDar, digital imargery system and GPS instrument
• Recrod and updae drive logs and daily reports
• Responsible for the full cycle operation of ground-based survey equipoment including GPS and other hardware as directed by the LiDar System Tech Lead
• Assist in the review and documentation of the processes and procedures with the Acquisitions Supervisor
• A valid operator's license to operate in all listed middle eastern countries.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to listen to managers and complete tasks efficiently.
• Basic Technical Familiarity with maps, phones and tablet computers.
• Be able to logically follow technical instructions.
• Good understanding of the Middle Eastern road network.
• Be a good communicator and be able to complete reports for managers.
• Strength to lift up to 50lbs, plus bending and twisting.
• Honest, open and transparent communication.
• Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Must be 25 years old (this requirement is based on client's auto insurance restrictions to insure a driver)
• Must be have able to enter and exit United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar without restrictions, company will sponsor work visa.

Job Type: Temporary employment

• Salary 7.50 USD per hour (paid in your resident currency)
• $30 USD daily per diem (food allowance, paid in your resident currency)
