Driver
Position: Driver (Personal/Corporate/Logistics)
Department: Operations / Logistics / Administration
Reports To: Fleet Manager, Operations Manager, or Designated Supervisor
Job Overview:
The Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of passengers, goods, or materials. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws, excellent vehicle maintenance, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. The Driver may operate cars, vans, or light trucks and represents the company during transit.
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain an assigned vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan routes using GPS or maps to ensure timely arrivals and optimize fuel efficiency.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (e.g., checking oil, fuel, brakes, tires, lights) and report any maintenance needs or defects immediately.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and in good working condition at all times.
• Load and unload goods or luggage safely and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo restraint.
• Provide courteous and professional service to passengers or clients, assisting with entry, exit, and luggage as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents as required.
• Handle cash or electronic payments for fares or deliveries, if applicable, and provide receipts.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations concerning hours of service (for commercial driving).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid, clean driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class (e.g., standard license, commercial driver's license - CDL).
• Proven safe driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of area roadways, traffic patterns, and GPS systems.
• Strong time management and punctuality.
• Physical ability to lift and carry packages or luggage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Defensive driving certification is a plus.
