Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery operations, ensuring safe and timely transport of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a warehouse environment. Experience with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for the transportation of goods. Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance. Load and unload goods safely, utilising appropriate equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in warehouse duties as required, contributing to a smooth operational flow.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential. Familiarity with flatbed driving is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance is beneficial. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage. Strong communication skills are required to interact with team members and clients effectively.
