Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and punctual Light Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to transport goods, documents, or personnel safely and efficiently using a company-provided or approved light motor vehicle (e.g., car, van, SUV, or small truck). The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent knowledge of traffic laws, and a strong commitment to timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a light motor vehicle to transport items or people to and from specified locations. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for daily deliveries or pickups, considering traffic and weather conditions. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secure and undamaged during transit. Perform daily vehicle inspections (e.g., check oil, fuel, brakes, tires) and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions promptly. Maintain accurate logs of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details, as required. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and transportation laws. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients or the public. Ensure the vehicle is always clean and presentable. Handle company documents, such as delivery receipts and waybills, with confidentiality and care. Assist with other logistical or warehouse duties as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Valid Driver's License:

A clean and valid [Specify country/state, e.g., Class C] driver's license is mandatory.

Driving Experience:

Proven experience as a Light Driver or in a similar role.

Clean Driving Record:

A history of safe driving with no major violations.

Knowledge:

Excellent knowledge of area roads, highways, and traffic laws. Proficiency in using GPS devices and navigation apps.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to lift and carry packages up to [e.g., 25 kg / 50 lbs] and load/unload vehicles.

Punctuality & Reliability:

Exceptional time management skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Communication Skills:

Good verbal communication skills in [e.g., English and/or local language].

Customer Service:

Polite, professional demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Defensive driving certification. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience with delivery tracking software.

PAY : QAR 1,800 with food & Accommodation
