Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Driver cum Tourist Guide. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for safely transporting tourists to various destinations across Dubai and providing them with engaging and informative guided tours. You will act as an ambassador for Dubai, ensuring our guests have a memorable and enriching experience.

Responsibilities:

Driving:

Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all UAE traffic laws and regulations. Transport tourists to and from hotels, airports, tourist attractions, and other designated locations. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition, performing basic checks and reporting any issues promptly. Plan and follow the most efficient routes to maximize time and fuel efficiency. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, and handling their luggage when necessary.

Tour Guiding:

Conduct guided tours of Dubai's key attractions, historical sites, and cultural landmarks in a clear, engaging, and informative manner. Share interesting stories, facts, and insights about the local history, culture, customs, and contemporary developments. Answer tourists' questions accurately and comprehensively, catering to their diverse interests. Adapt tour content and delivery to suit the interests and preferences of the group. Manage the group effectively, ensuring everyone's safety and comfort throughout the tour. Handle unexpected situations or changes in the itinerary professionally and efficiently. Provide recommendations for local restaurants, shopping areas, and other activities.

Customer Service:

Greet tourists warmly and professionally, providing a high level of customer service. Build rapport with guests, ensuring they feel welcome and valued. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the company's operations team and other staff members as needed. Maintain accurate records of transportation and tour activities. Stay updated on Dubai's latest attractions, events, and regulations relevant to tourism. Potentially assist with other tasks as required by the company.

Requirements:

Valid UAE driving license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a driver, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry in Dubai. Possession of a valid Dubai Tourist Guide license issued by the relevant authorities (e.g., Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism - DET). Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other languages (e.g., Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, German, French, Hindi) is a significant advantage, as Dubai attracts a diverse international audience. Comprehensive knowledge of Dubai's history, culture, geography, attractions, and infrastructure. Ability to handle groups of people effectively and ensure their safety and satisfaction. Good time management and organizational skills to manage schedules and itineraries. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the tourism industry. Professional appearance and adherence to company guidelines. A good understanding of safety procedures and the ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in tourism, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
