Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver cum Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license, a good driving record, and the ability to assist with various tasks beyond driving. This role involves both driving and providing assistance in loading, unloading, and managing goods, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties

: Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, equipment, or personnel to designated locations. Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of passengers and goods. Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, water, tire pressure) to ensure roadworthiness. Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle, both inside and out.

Helper Duties

: Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring that items are handled with care. Help with packing, unpacking, sorting, and organizing deliveries as required. Assist in moving goods, equipment, or furniture as part of daily tasks. Support the team in warehouse duties, including inventory management, stock arrangement, and general upkeep. Perform other general helper tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Documentation and Reporting

: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and items delivered. Report any issues with the vehicle, road incidents, or delivery problems to the management promptly. Ensure proper documentation is carried for each trip (e.g., delivery notes, invoices, receipts).

Qualifications and Requirements

Valid

Working Conditions

Full-time position with occasional overtime. Work may involve early morning or late evening hours. Physical work that may require lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
