• A Dredging Production Engineer as part of the dredging performance team, analyze the dredging production and verifies implementation of set of dredging methodology on daily basis.
• To check the estimated production with the actual dredging production and checks whether ruling/calculated limiting factors are met. If not met, verifies and analyses in depth, why these limiting factors/ productions are not met and develops plan to achieve the production estimates and limiting factors.
• Oversees on site the actual implementation of the setup plan with the dredging superintendent and master/SDM. Prepares documentation for knowledge transfer to production department.
• The second chapter of the function is, in cooperation with team members of the dredging performance department, search and develop production enhancing tools and innovation for onboard use on the dredging and auxiliary fleet. These exist out development of technical structures to automate repetitive tasks, incorporate and develop real time data enhancing analysis-capabilities.
• Workout dredging methodologies to enhance the production/efficiency of the current dredging methodologies. As well as dive into overall performance to enhance innovation increase in crewing, technical and operational output.
• Start up the development, with the dredging performance team and in collaboration with the NMDC dredging academy, of the NMDC knowledge center.

• In depth follow up with production team on dredging performance on site, to analyses data based on digital output from the vessels, cut plans and consider the external dependencies in relation to soil characteristics, reclamation criteria and the specific project constraints.
• Conclude and determine the production-drivers on the project and the production limiters, with respect to the project constraints.
• Compare with the initial production estimates and provide relevant feedback to commercial department.
• Pump wear and tear analysis, pipeline W&T.
• Cutter head productions analysis with different pick points and cutter head types in relation to the soil parameters.
• Is core member to develop in-house programmed performance analysis tools. Remote online analysis, not just a monitoring tool. The tools need to flag up events and real/actual working methods that can be improved with the least amount of lag. These tools have to assist the dredging superintendent and the crew on site with instant analysis and feedback. Correlated to the automation system updates.
• Develops in house modifications and upgrades to the current dredging fleet in cooperation with the team members of the dredging performance department
• Safe practice implementation.
• Set-up useful databases to enable big data analyses

• Graduate Master of Science or PHD
• Knowledge and experience in marine and dredging engineering
• Online engineering degree is NOT valid
• Fluent speaking/writing in English language
