Responsible for leading the program strategy creation, management, and implementation of the national Dream Home program and requires proactively monitoring, management and mitigate of brand, legal and financial risk to the organization in a unique and complex regulatory landscape, where each market is regulated at the state or county level. Responsible for research, recruitment, reputation management, training and sustained cultivation of key external and internal relationships that drive fiscal responsibility through interconnected national and multi-market stakeholders spanning geographic territory lines. Accountable for creating and achieving budgeted projections for an average of 5-8 high revenue generating campaigns (average event is $1M+) raising $5-8 million cumulatively. Requires frequent collaboration and communication with territory leadership staff counterparts, construction, and media partners to drive progressive and measurable strategies, maintain adherence to program core standards and policies, optimize cost containment opportunities through local, regional and national sponsorships aligned with fiscal objectives and ensure timeline management controls. Focus on continuous improvement through performance metrics analysis, test and learn opportunities, speed to market strategies and post-delivery evaluation. Responsible for contributing to overall program development, inclusivity, and retention strategies by collaborating with Dream Home leadership to identify opportunities to lead, train, mentor and further enhance the knowledge base & expertise level of Dream Home team members. Serves as the business lead on cross-divisional relationships, projects or specific areas of the business that focus on accelerating growth opportunities that relate directly to the Dream Home and ALSAC strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Uses a relatively high degree of concentration, autonomy, and subject matter knowledge to work with the program management and territory management & staff to create, manage and execute Dream Home market strategies, where a main requirement is to proactively monitor, manage and mitigate brand, legal and financial risk to the organization in a unique and complex regulatory landscape, where each market is regulated at the state or county level.
2. Responsible for research, recruitment, reputation management, training and sustained cultivation of key external and internal relationships that drive fiscal responsibility through interconnected national and multi-market stakeholders spanning geographic territory lines. These relationships include highly influential and potential high wealth partnerships with board members, executives at building and land development companies, along with executives within the media industry, volunteers, and major, high value prize sponsors.
3. Manages all day-to-day program aspects, trains, and directs territory staff on measurable strategies and progressive program priorities to build market penetration on Dream Home campaign in an assigned geographic territory. Includes maintaining adherence to program core standards and policies, optimizing cost containment opportunities through local, regional, and national sponsorships aligned with fiscal objectives and ensuring timeline management controls.
4. Accountable for creating and achieving budgeted projections. On an annual basis will conduct several campaigns in a geographical area at a time (an average of 5-8 campaigns a year) per fiscal year while being held responsible for maintaining budgeted cost ratio for each campaign.
5. Assumes all responsibility around risk volatility and asset/property management; researches and analyzes economic conditions and market viability by using area and subject matter expertise to recruit and negotiate donated or discounted land options for the location of the house.
6. Responsible for monitoring cost containment through a thorough analysis of construction invoices and pro-actively managing the high value relationships with Dream Home builders in building quality houses, valued at approximately $500,000, that directly contribute to increased revenue. Includes reputation management and financial assessment through a due diligence process with Dream Home leadership and the Finance department.
7. Creates market mailing schedule and determines mail selects through a detailed analysis of performance metrics and unique target audience segmentation strategies in each respective market. Develops all printed materials such as ticket forms, print ads, direct mailers and other widely distributed mass marketing materials.
8. Develops and instructs territory offices on local, audience-led campaign marketing strategies.
9. Requires proficiency in creating, interpreting, and presenting marketing performance reports and calculations on local Dream Home rate of ticket sales, digital activation results, and test initiatives backed by user or A/B testing approaches.
10. Works directly with Legal Department on all charitable gaming activities to ensure proper legal protocols and safeguards are strictly followed to maintain good standing within each respective state and/or county. This includes the management and assurance of timely raffle application processing, financial reporting, adherence to unique statutes and regulations, lot and house property transfers, Phase I environmental studies, house appraisals and inspections, and other logistical and legal aspects.
11. Responsible for contributing to overall program development, inclusivity, and retention strategies by collaborating with Dream Home leadership to identify opportunities to lead, train, mentor and further enhance the knowledge base & expertise level of the Dream Home Team.
12. Serves as the business lead on cross-divisional relationships, projects or specific areas of the business that focus on accelerating growth opportunities that relate directly to the SJDHG and ALSAC strategic plan. This includes, but is not limited to, working in conjunction with SJDHG leadership and Strategic Partnerships in the oversight of national sponsorships, and the identification of multi-market sponsorship opportunities within the territories, aimed at reducing expenses and maximizing in-market potential.
13. Works with Dream Home leadership to establish risk mitigation tactics, policies, and standard operating procedures for Dream Home Program, specifically as it relates to construction and brand reputation management.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Assists territory personnel in the handling of individual questions concerning Dream Home.
2. Presentations with a conversant knowledge of the Dream Home program and St. Jude.
3. Performs other various job functions as may be assigned.
4. Performs job duties as assigned as part of ALSACs Business Continuity Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans.
Requirements
  • Requires knowledge of fund raising and public relations

  • Possess excellent problem solving, organizational and leadership skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience in marketing, fund raising, event planning, sales, or related experience
  • Residential or commercial construction knowledge preferred
  • Involves travel 50% of the time
