Full-TimeJob Responsibilities
Prepare detailed shop drawings, design layouts, and as-built drawings for fire fighting systems (e.g., fire sprinklers, hydrants, FM200, CO?, etc.) using AutoCAD or other drafting software. Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications and standards. Interpret MEP, architectural, and structural drawings to develop coordinated fire system layouts. Review and revise drawings as per client comments or site changes. Maintain organized drawing records and project documentation. Ensure all drawings comply with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and relevant authority regulations. Assist in BOQ preparation and material submittals if required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a draughtsman, preferably in the fire protection industry. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D mandatory, 3D is a plus). Knowledge of NFPA, UAE Fire Code, or other regional standards is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills
