Job Summary:

The Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts based on design specifications and site requirements. Working closely with engineers, architects, and project teams, the Draughtsman ensures that all drawings meet project standards, authority regulations, and technical accuracy to support smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software. Develop shop drawings, coordination layouts, and as-built drawings based on design and site inputs. Revise and update drawings as required by engineers, consultants, or site modifications. Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility. Review IFC drawings and highlight discrepancies or clashes with other trades. Assist in preparing drawing submittals and documentation for client and consultant approval. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, authority regulations, and project specifications. Maintain an organized drawing register and ensure timely submission of deliverables.

Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Engineering or Drafting (Civil / MEP / Architecture). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within construction or fit-out projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; Revit, SketchUp, or other 3D tools are a plus. Good understanding of construction methods, technical details, and authority standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in interior fit-out, MEP coordination, or design-build projects. Familiarity with local authority standards (Dubai Municipality, ADM, DCD, etc.). Team player with strong communication and coordination skills.
