Position Overview
Drainage Engineer Design role in Dubai supporting Parsons Corporation on infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The position focuses on stormwater drainage design, sustainable drainage solutions, and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling across multiple project stages, working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design stormwater drainage systems for infrastructure and civil projects
• Develop non-conventional and smart drainage systems including Sustainable Urban Drainage solutions
• Prepare stormwater drainage designs using principles of urban drainage, SuDS, and water sensitive design
• Perform hydraulic and system design to meet site-specific project requirements
• Apply understanding of biological and physical stormwater management processes
• Introduce innovative approaches and value engineering solutions in drainage design
• Support and supervise junior engineers under guidance of senior engineers
• Carry out hydrologic modelling, calculations, drawings, and technical report writing
• Participate across all project stages with responsibility under senior engineer supervision
• Coordinate with CAD, BIM, and 3D modelling teams to ensure integrated design delivery

Ideal Profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Minimum five years of experience in infrastructure, civil, or water engineering projects
• Experience in stormwater drainage design, catchment analysis, and stormwater management
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while contributing to team delivery

Skills Set

• Strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principles
• Experience designing culverts, urban drainage systems, and highway drainage
• Proficiency in modelling and design software including SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and CAD tools
• Experience with InfoWorks ICM considered an advantage
• Strong capability with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
• Solid mathematical skills for developing and validating design calculations
• Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and team-oriented approach
