Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawing & Documentation

Create detailed technical drawings for custom joinery, millwork, and interior design elements Develop comprehensive shop drawings, working drawings, and installation details Produce accurate measurements, dimensions, and material specifications Generate assembly drawings and exploded views for complex joinery components

Joinery & Millwork Focus

Draft detailed plans for custom cabinetry, wardrobes, and built-in furniture Create technical drawings for kitchen units, vanities, and storage solutions Develop door and window details, including hardware specifications Design decorative elements, moldings, and architectural millwork

Design Development Support

Collaborate with interior designers to translate concepts into technical drawings Review and interpret design briefs and architectural plans Create detailed sections, elevations, and 3D isometric views Assist in space planning and furniture layout optimization

Quality Control & Coordination

Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local building codes Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers Attend site visits for measurements and verification of existing conditions Revise drawings based on client feedback and design changes

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

Diploma/Certificate in Drafting, Interior Design, or related technical field Professional certification in CAD software preferred

Technical Skills

AutoCAD:

Advanced proficiency (2D and 3D)

SketchUp:

Intermediate to advanced level

Revit:

Basic to intermediate knowledge preferred

Adobe Creative Suite:

Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

Microsoft Office:

Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Specialized Knowledge

In-depth understanding of joinery construction methods and techniques Knowledge of wood species, hardware, and finishing materials Familiarity with UAE building codes and local construction standards Understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and tolerances

Experience Requirements

1-3 years of drafting experience specifically in the UAE market Proven track record in interior design and joinery projects Experience with luxury residential or high-end commercial projects preferred Portfolio demonstrating quality technical drawings and joinery details
