Job Description

Job Purpose:

To prepare detailed shop drawings, joinery details, and fit-out drawings based on approved design and site conditions, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing Preparation

Prepare detailed

shop drawings

for joinery, fit-out, and interior works based on design intent and site measurements. Produce

as-built drawings

after project completion. Ensure all drawings are

accurate, coordinated, and aligned

with architectural, structural, and MEP layouts.

2. Design Coordination

Coordinate with

project engineers, designers, and site teams

to resolve technical discrepancies. Review design drawings and highlight

conflicts, discrepancies, or missing details

. Incorporate client and consultant comments promptly in revised drawings.

3. Technical Detailing

Develop

joinery details

, sections, and elevations for furniture, wall paneling, doors, wardrobes, counters, and other interior elements. Specify

materials, finishes, and hardware details

as per approved samples and specifications. Maintain consistency in drawing standards and file management.

4. Site Support

Conduct site visits to take

accurate measurements

and verify conditions prior to drawing finalization. Provide technical support to the

site and production teams

during execution.

5. Documentation & Standards

Ensure all drawings comply with

company standards and consultant requirements

. Maintain proper

drawing records, revision logs, and backup files

. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure drawings reflect

manufacturing and installation feasibility

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in

Architecture, or Civil Engineering

. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in joinery and interior fit-out drafting within the UAE or GCC. Proficient in

AutoCAD

,

SketchUp

, and

MS Office

(knowledge of Revit or 3D tools is an advantage). Strong understanding of

joinery materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes

. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

Key Skills:

AutoCAD proficiency (2D detailed drawing). Knowledge of joinery production and fit-out standards. Strong technical and spatial understanding. Communication and coordination skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
