Create detailed and accurate technical drawings for custom joinery elements, such as cabinetry, doors, windows, and furniture, based on project specifications and design requirements.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and interior designers to understand project requirements and ensure joinery designs align with the overall vision and building standards.
Produce shop drawings for manufacturing, including accurate material specifications, dimensions, finishes, and assembly details.
Use AutoCAD and other drafting software to develop detailed 2D and 3D models for joinery components, ensuring precision in dimensions and accuracy in technical specifications.
Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop joinery details that align with the project's technical requirements and site constraints.
Ensure that joinery designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Perform on-site measurements and inspections to verify design feasibility and ensure that joinery work is in alignment with site conditions.
Create detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for joinery works, accurately estimating material requirements and tracking inventory for procurement.
Develop and maintain standardized joinery details, templates, and design libraries to streamline future design processes and improve efficiency.
Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, project managers, or site engineers to accommodate design changes, site constraints, or material availability.
Work closely with the production team to ensure that manufacturing processes are aligned with the approved technical drawings and that all joinery components are fabricated accurately.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of materials that meet the specified quality standards.
Assist in resolving technical issues during the construction or installation phase by providing detailed technical support and guidance on joinery works.
Monitor quality control during the fabrication and installation stages, ensuring that the final product meets the required standards and specifications.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all joinery drawings, revisions, and material specifications for future reference and quality assurance purposes.
Provide ongoing technical advice and support to the project management team, addressing any design-related issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications & Experience:
4 years of experience as a Draftsman in the joinery or carpentry company in UAE preferably in building projects.
Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
