Job description:
Position : Draftsman
Location: Dubai
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience - 2 + yrs
Create Detailed Drawings: Prepare accurate technical drawings, schematics, and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or architects.
AutoCAD Proficiency: Use AutoCAD or similar drafting software to create, modify, and update designs and drawings.
Technical Documentation: Assist in the preparation of documentation including specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and other technical documents related to the drawings.
Collaboration: Work with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that the drafts meet project requirements and standards.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Calculate material quantities and costs for glass, hardware, and installation.
Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotes.
Collaborate with sales and project managers to develop competitive bids and proposals.
Monitor market prices and ensure estimates reflect current material and labor rates
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience as a Draftsman, preferably in facade, glass, aluminum, or fit-out projects.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting software will be an added advantage.
Ability to prepare detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical schematics with high accuracy.
