Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled
Draftsman
to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing precise and compliant drawings for
ELV, Fire Alarm, Firefighting, Emergency Lighting, Central Battery, and Life Safety Systems
in accordance with UAE Civil Defense and local authority standards. The role involves developing and maintaining shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation required for project execution and approval.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop detailed
shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
for ELV and Fire Life Safety Systems.
Review design drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications and local authority standards (SIRA, Dubai Civil Defense, NFPA, BS, etc.).
Update drawings based on site conditions, markups, and consultant/client comments.
Assist engineers in preparing
material submittals, schematic layouts, and technical documentation
.
Maintain accurate drawing records, revisions, and submission logs.
Coordinate with project and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues during installation and inspection.
Ensure timely submission of drawings to consultants, clients, and authorities for approval.
Follow company CAD standards and maintain organized digital documentation.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
2-5 years of experience as a Draftsman in
ELV or Fire & Life Safety projects
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
(knowledge of
Revit
is an advantage).
Good understanding of
Fire Alarm, Firefighting, CCTV, Access Control, and other ELV Systems
.
Knowledge of
SIRA
regulations (Certification preferred).
Familiarity with
UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, and Civil Defense regulations
.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
Immediate joiner is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous UAE experience preparing drawings for
Civil Defense and other authority-approved projects
.
Knowledge of MEP coordination and integration of ELV and Life Safety Systems.
Experience with submission procedures to authorities (DCD, Trakhees, DEWA, etc.).
