The Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and designs based on specifications provided by engineers and architects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and detailed designs using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
Work from rough sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by engineers/architects.
Revise drawings based on feedback and design changes.
Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and comply with industry and company standards.
Maintain an organized library of drawings, records, and documentation.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams for clarification and design implementation.
Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and presentation layouts.
Ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma/Certification in Drafting, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Draftsman in [construction/MEP/architectural/interior fit-out, etc.].
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other design software is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple drawings and meet strict deadlines.
