Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Draftsman

to join our team. The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and plans based on specifications from engineers and architects. The role involves creating detailed layouts, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using CAD software to support construction, fabrication, and design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

2D and 3D drawings

using AutoCAD or other drafting software. Convert design concepts, sketches, and calculations into

technical drawings

. Create

shop drawings

and

as-built drawings

in compliance with project specifications. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to understand project requirements. Ensure that drawings meet

local codes

project specifications

. Modify and revise drawings as requested by engineers, consultants, or site conditions. Maintain proper documentation and drawing control based on company protocols. Assist in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation when required. Conduct site visits for accurate measurements and drawing validation. Collaborate with other departments (Procurement, QA/QC, Planning) for technical alignment.

Requirements:

Diploma in

Drafting

,

Engineering

, or related field. Proven experience as a

Draftsman

in a construction, MEP, or engineering company. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(2D/3D); Revit or other BIM tools is a plus. Strong knowledge of engineering or architectural standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Familiar with construction materials and processes. Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Strong coordination and communication skills. Knowledge of local authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Planning, etc. if UAE-based).
