Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed shop drawings, layout plans, and as-built drawings for fire alarm and fire fighting systems in compliance with codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare technical drawings and plans for fire alarm and fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, suppression systems, detection, and notification systems). Develop shop drawings based on project specifications, design drawings, and site conditions. Coordinate with engineering, design, and project teams to ensure accurate drawing outputs. Update drawings based on client, consultant, or site feedback and changes. Generate as-built drawings post project execution. Ensure all drawings meet local civil defense, NFPA, and relevant authority standards. Maintain drawing files and documentation in an organized and traceable manner. Conduct site visits as required to verify installation against design. Assist in material take-offs and BOQs based on final drawings.

Requirements:



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Draftsman in the fire protection or MEP industry. Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus. Familiar with NFPA codes, UAE Civil Defense regulations (or relevant local authority requirements).

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in preparing hydraulic calculations and coordination drawings. Familiarity with project management and document control systems. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
