Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented

Draftsman

with a strong background in

glass and aluminium fabrication and installation works

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed

shop drawings

,

fabrication drawings

, and

installation layouts

for doors, windows, curtain walls, partitions, facades, cladding, and other aluminium and glass systems, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed

shop drawings

,

fabrication drawings

, and

installation details

using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software. Develop

layouts and general arrangement drawings

for aluminium and glass systems including curtain walls, structural glazing, doors, windows, balustrades, canopies, partitions, etc. Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, and clients to gather design input and clarify project requirements. Modify and update drawings based on

feedback, technical reviews

, or site conditions. Ensure all drawings comply with

project specifications

,

local building codes

,

architectural standards

, and

engineering principles

. Provide

cutting lists

,

material take-offs (MTOs)

, and

fabrication schedules

for the production/fabrication teams. Liaise with procurement and fabrication teams to verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications. Maintain a well-organized library of drawings, revisions, and supporting documentation for each project. Attend site visits and coordination meetings as required to gather on-ground data and ensure drawing accuracy. Support the estimation team with technical input and drawing analysis when needed. Perform other drafting-related or project coordination tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or project manager.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR5,000.00 per month
