Draftsman (Civil/Mechanical)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Draftsman to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in translating engineering designs into detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to support our ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD for civil or mechanical projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, concepts, and design specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, architectural layouts, structural details, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) schematics as per project needs.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, UAE regulations, and international best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, material schedules, and quantity take-offs.
• Update and maintain drawing registers and ensure proper filing of all project drawings.
• Support the project team with site measurements and as-built drawings when required.
• Utilize MS Project to assist in tracking project timelines and milestones related to drafting deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Draftsman, specifically within the UAE construction or engineering sector.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Essential: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Essential: Good working knowledge of MS Project.
• (Preferred) Familiarity with other software like Revit, Civil 3D, or Navisworks is a strong advantage.
• Strong Knowledge: Solid understanding of drafting standards, engineering principles, and construction methodologies relevant to Civil/Mechanical disciplines.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and keen eye for detail in preparing and checking drawings.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
