Job Description
Job Summary
The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings for airport infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure drawings comply with project specifications, authority standards, and aviation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed
shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings
for airport projects. Develop drawings forcivil, architectural, MEP, and infrastructure works
as required. Modify and revise drawings based onengineer, consultant, and authority comments
. Ensure drawings comply withICAO, GCAA, IATA, and local authority standards
. Coordinate with site engineers to reflectactual site conditions
in drawings. Maintain properdrawing registers, revisions, and document control
. Assist engineers duringdesign development and construction stages
. Review tender drawings and prepareclarification drawings
if required. Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedule.Software & Technical Skills
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
(mandatory) Knowledge ofRevit / BIM
is an added advantage Ability to read and interpretengineering drawings and specifications
Familiarity withairport layouts, airside/landside infrastructure
preferredQualifications
Diploma or ITI in
Drafting / Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Certification in AutoCAD or relevant drafting software preferredExperience
Minimum
3-7 years of experience
as a Draftsman Prior experience inairport, aviation, infrastructure, or large-scale projects
is highly preferredKey Competencies
Strong attention to detail Good coordination and communication skills Ability to work under tight deadlines * Understanding of construction sequences and site practices
