Job Description

The Fit-Out Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects. This role ensures that all designs align with project specifications, standards, and client requirements while coordinating closely with engineers, designers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed shop drawings, joinery details, ceiling layouts, flooring patterns, and furniture layouts in compliance with design intent and project specifications. Develop as-built drawings and ensure all modifications made during construction are accurately reflected. Work closely with Project Engineers, Designers, and Site Supervisors to ensure all drawings meet project timelines and standards. Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify discrepancies and coordinate solutions. Prepare joinery and interior detailing for custom furniture, partitions, wall finishes, ceilings, and other fit-out elements. Maintain drawing documentation and ensure proper filing and version control. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants when necessary for shop drawing approvals. Ensure that all drawings comply with local regulations, codes, and company quality standards. Participate in site visits and inspections to verify dimensions and installation accuracy. Support project handover documentation and technical submissions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering (or related field). Minimum4 years of experience in interior fit-out or joinery drafting within the UAE or GCC. Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or 3D Max is an advantage. Strong understanding of interior detailing, materials, and construction methods. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawings. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
