As a Doorman at Fairmont Doha, you are the first point of contact for our guests. You will create a memorable arrival and departure experience by offering a warm welcome, personalized assistance, and elegant hospitality reflective of the Fairmont brand. The Doorman ensures smooth traffic flow at the hotel entrance, supports guest needs, and upholds the highest standards of luxury service.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcome guests upon arrival with courtesy, professionalism, and grace
Offer assistance with doors, luggage, transportation, and directions
Provide personalized service by recognizing returning guests and using guest names when possible
Maintain a polished and friendly demeanor while anticipating guest needs
Escort guests to the lobby when needed and coordinate with Bell Attendants for luggage handling
Manage vehicle flow at the main entrance to ensure safe, efficient, and orderly operations
Assist with valet coordination as required and notify the valet team of arriving vehicles
Ensure the driveway and entrance areas remain clean, organized, and free of obstructions
Liaise with Bell Desk, Valet, Concierge, and Front Office teams for seamless guest service
Communicate guest arrivals, VIP status, and special requests promptly to relevant departments
Assist with courier deliveries, taxis, ride requests, and private transportation arrangements
Observe and report any suspicious activity to security immediately
Support emergency procedures, including crowd control and evacuation assistance
Ensure all safety and brand standards are followed at all times
Maintain impeccable grooming and a professional appearance in accordance with Fairmont grooming standards
Embody Fairmont's values, service culture, and commitment to luxury hospitality
Qualifications
Previous experience in a luxury hotel or guest service role preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service focus with the ability to anticipate guest needs
Physically able to stand for long periods and lift luggage when required
* Fluent in English; additional languages are an an advantage
