Our client is a regional market leader, specializing in the distribution of quality and reliable aftermarket automotive spares in the UAE, Qatar, MENA, and CIS regions. They deal with the distribution of Auto parts, Batteries, and Lubricants products.We are looking for a Division Manager Autoparts & Batteries to join their dynamic team in Dubai.Job Role PurposeThe purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the Autoparts and Battery business division, within the UAE market, whilst ensuring optimal sales performance, profitability, credit control, and efficient inventory management. Responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives and providing effective leadership to the Corporate Sales and Retail Distribution teams, fostering a culture of high performance and customer-centric operations.Job Role OverviewAs the Division Manager, you will be instrumental in steering the division\'s success by formulating and executing comprehensive sales strategies, managing financial performance, optimizing inventory levels, and spearheading impactful marketing campaigns. Your role will involve leading and mentoring a dynamic team of employees across two critical divisions, contributing to the company\'s growth and success in the competitive automotive market in the UAE.Key Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesSales Performance and Profitability:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed division sales targets. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure the consistent improvement of the divisions net profitability through effective cost management, budgeting and pricing strategies.
Credit Control and Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement robust credit control policies in collaboration with the finance department to manage credit risks and ensure timely collections.
  • Monitor and manage the division\'s financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to optimize financial processes and maintain healthy financial controls.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
  • Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
  • Implement efficient warehouse management practices to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure a consistent and effective procurement of stock.
  • Business Avenues and Collaborations:
  • Explore and evaluate potential new business avenues, including innovative products, service lines, and newer market segments.
  • Initiate and manage projects to drive companies\' presence in new regions.
Marketing Initiatives:
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to promote Auto Parts and Battery products.
  • Identify market opportunities and devise marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Monitor marketing initiatives\' performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure maximum impact.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare regular reports on divisional performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for review of the senior management.
  • Communicate effectively with the executive team, providing updates, insights, and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Team Management and Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of almost 15 individuals across the Corporate Sales Division and Retail Distribution Division.
  • Set clear objectives, assign yearly KPIs, provide regular feedback, and conduct periodical performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the division.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including QC, Marketing Warehousing and Supply Chain, to align strategies and ensure smooth execution of plans.
  • Provide valuable insights to the QC, marketing and supply chain team and suggest improvements based on market trends and customer feedback.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 15 years in sales and business management
  • Previous experience in the Aftermarket Automotive Industry of at least 8 years.
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive industry and market dynamics in the UAE including distribution channels and consumer preferences is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in market analysis tools, data-driven decision-making, and project management.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to support business initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business software.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
