We are currently seeking to fill the position of Diver. Key Responsibilities: Underwater Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of underwater structures, including nets, cages, lines, and anchors to ensure their integrity.
Assess and report on the condition of the aquatic environment, identifying potential hazards (like debris or biofouling).
Aquatic Life Monitoring:
Assess the health and growth of aquatic species, checking for signs of disease, parasites, or injuries.
Assist in the harvesting process, which may involve capturing and removing fish or shellfish from underwater enclosures.
Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:
Maintain and repair underwater equipment such as feeding systems, nets, and monitoring devices.
Replace damaged or worn-out equipment to ensure ongoing farm operations.
Dive Safety and Protocols:
Follow dive safety guidelines and maintain certifications (e.g., commercial diving certifications, first aid).
Perform tasks in a safe manner, using proper equipment and adhering to diving protocols.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Document dive activities, inspections, and findings in detailed reports.
Communicate regularly with supervisors and other team members about progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Collaboration with Other Teams:
Work alongside other aquaculture technicians, farm managers, and environmental experts to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the farm.
Participate in training programs or workshops related to diving, aquaculture, and safety procedures Must have 2+ years in a commercial diving environment preferably aquaculture and Commercial diving certification (e.g., IMCA Class 4 or ADCI) and experience with underwater inspections
