Job Summary:
The Head of Vehicle Transportation is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of vehicle movements across the company's rental locations. This role ensures timely, efficient, and cost-effective relocation of rental vehicles to meet business demand. The position leads a team of transportation coordinators and drivers while developing strategies to improve service levels and reduce transportation costs.

• Lead and manage all vehicle transportation activities across rental locations, including vehicle transfers, deliveries, returns, and inter-branch movements.

• Develop and implement transportation strategies to ensure availability and minimize downtime.

• Coordinate closely with team to align vehicle supply with customer demand.

• Monitor transportation KPIs (e.g. transfer times, costs, fleet availability, utilization).

• Manage and supervise internal drivers, third-party transport vendors, and logistics partners.

• Oversee routing, scheduling, and dispatch operations to maximize efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

• Analyze vehicle movement patterns and trends to improve them.

• Manage the transportation budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Lead daily transportation operations.

• Develop and implement procedures for vehicle inspection, documentation, and tracking during transportation.

• Support the development of technology solutions (e.g. GPS, fleet tracking software) to improve visibility and control.
