Director | Technology, Media and Telecom | Strategic Communications
The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world's most highly regarded communications consultancies. Key responsibilities
Serve as point-person on multiple client accounts
Project management on client accounts, responsible for managing the day-to-day, whilst maintaining focus on long term plan/annual strategy
Drafting of external facing content for media (PRs, media notes, factsheets, op-eds, by-lines, written interviews) and internal materials for clients (Q&As, briefings documents, backgrounders, FAQs)
Sell-in of client news to key regional and (as required) international media
Devising, drafting and placing of thought leadership articles in key regional and (as required) international media
Devising and implementing communications strategies for clients - spanning content development, media relations programmes, executive thought leadership programmes, reactive commentaries and media interviews
Targeting of key events and (as required) events support across drafting of marketing materials and media engagement plan
Drafting of social media content
Support on business development - identifying key prospects and support business development strategy
Lead on the drafting of responses to new business RFPs/RFIs and new business proposals
Minimum 6 years' experience in communications industry with direct experience managing multi-market global accounts
Proven experience of leading client accounts and serving as the main point of contact
Comes with a strong network of regional and international media relationships
Solid base knowledge of the technology sector and genuine interest in technology
Sound analytical skills - able to understand and interpret data
Strategic thinker - able to look beyond the "now" and think to future opportunities to build client activities
Experience working with technology businesses
Willing to take on work in areas you might not be familiar with - not phased by new concepts/areas and eager to develop
Highly proficient written skills and very strong at content development
You will be:
Relentlessly proactive - constantly thinking of how to build and scale efforts for client accounts
Desire to build knowledge of the technology and fintech industry
Plugged in to key technology and fintech trends, as well as a sound knowledge of key players in the regional tech/fintech ecosystem
Intellectually curious and a smart thinker
Pragmatic and output focused
Strong multi-tasker
Eager to build a career focused within the tech sector
Bonus though not a pre-requisite
Well networked within the regional (and, even better, global) tech industry - comes with a network of industry contacts
Deep knowledge of the tech sector
