ROLE SUMMARY
The Director of Technology Finance will be a key executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and management of technology investments across a large retail group. This role demands a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of both financial management and technology, combined with extensive experience in driving financial performance for large-scale digital transformation and technology-driven initiatives.
ROLE PROFILE

• Lead the development and execution of financial strategies for the technology division, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals and strategic priorities.
• Oversee the creation and management of the annual technology budget, ensuring comprehensive planning across all technology departments, including IT operations, infrastructure, software development, and digital transformation projects.
• Provide high-level reporting on financial results, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial impact assessments, to the executive team and board of directors.
• Lead the financial performance tracking of all technology-related projects, ensuring that resources are being efficiently allocated and that technology investments are delivering expected ROI.
• Establish and enforce governance processes for financial decision-making related to technology, ensuring adherence to financial controls, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
• Drive the development and management of a comprehensive portfolio of technology investments, ensuring that capital allocation is optimized to achieve both short- and long-term business goals.
• Foster strong partnerships with business operations, strategy, and technology teams to align financial goals with broader business outcomes.
• Evaluate and implement best-in-class financial tools, systems, and processes that support effective technology finance management, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and transparency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree/certification preferred.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in finance, with at least 7 years in a senior finance role focused on technology investments or technology-driven environments, ideally within a large retail, e-commerce, or technology organization.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing technology finance teams, driving financial performance in large-scale technology initiatives.
• Extensive experience in financial management for large technology projects, digital transformation efforts, and IT infrastructure investments.
• Strong expertise in financial modelling, capital planning, and performance metrics specific to technology and IT projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high levels of financial accuracy.
