The Director Supply Chain is responsible to plan, direct and control the activities related to all supply chain functions for alll aspects of the projects in and follow on phases. Serve as a subject matter expert for supply chain functions such as contracting, procurement and logistics.
Key Accountabilities
The Director Supply Chain is responsible to plan, direct and control the activities related to all supply chain functions for alll aspects of the projects in and follow on phases. Serve as a subject matter expert for supply chain functions such as contracting, procurement and logistics.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement Contract, Procurement & Logistics strategy for the contract and any follow on work
- Conduct make/buy analysis of the company scope of work and implement approved outcome
- Subcontracting strategies to include risk mitigation and cost optimization strategies
- Establish and manage required subcontracts with different entities for product and service delivery
- Establish and manage required subcontracts with external providers for program logistics and in other countries
- Develop reporting metrics for all suppliers and establish regular cadence for contract performance reviews including quality standard and on time delivery performance
- Conduct supplier audits on site as required
- Support program reporting reviews with the PMO
- Direct the bidding process and formulation of the documentation, bidding, contracting and negotiation of subcontracts
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or a relevant required
- MBA or a Master\'s degree in a related field desirable
- Any Supply Chain Management Certification
- At least 15+ years in years of relevant experience in public or private sector organization
- Preferably defense services experience in a supply chain function
- Experience in UAE/MENA markets is highly recommended
- Experience in the defence/security sectors highly desirable
