The Director, Program Management will be responsible for coordinating and driving completion of program plans and implementations that span multiple teams while also making solution delivery outcomes more predictable and reliable. This role will build and lead a customer facing organization that works with key internal and external stakeholders on delivering programs effectively and on time. The ideal candidate will also create and manage clear communication channels with stakeholders while building frameworks and processes that enable a high level of operational efficiency. This is a strategic role that will drive outcomes by championing an execution-first mindset. This Director, Program Management will be initially based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and also be a key contributor in expanding Gro's business in the wider region.
What you'll do

  • Identify, quantify and deliver results for key program deliverables and timelines
  • Lead the hiring of team members to support program delivery
  • Act as interface between clients and internal Gro teams
  • Oversee and drive large and complex technical and product-oriented programs that have a direct measurable impact on strategic customer goals
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and other Subject Matter Experts (SME) and stakeholders to ensure that projects are effectively prioritized, resourced, managed, and delivered as well as to ensure alignment on plans
  • Provide various stakeholders with the information necessary to enable accountability
  • Support (and coach, when necessary) project teams and stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, and control their projects
  • Break down a product or feature into manageable pieces and identify their dependencies
  • Design and implement common and lightweight processes, solutions, and best practices to facilitate communication, clarity, and transparency as well as empower stakeholders to perform their roles when it comes to executing projects effectively
  • Contribute to a training and onboarding plan that supports agreed upon customer goals
  • Communicate ongoing program status, issues, roadblocks and outcomes in a timely manner
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years of experience as a project or program manager for software development/implementation projects at a SaaS based tech company, preferably in one or more of the following industries:
  • Financial Services
  • Agri-business
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
  • Supply Chain
  • Public Sector
  • Proven history of success
  • Strong leader, educator, and coach
  • Business or technical degree (or equivalent practical experience) and a genuine passion for ensuring success of customers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to foster collaboration between stakeholders
  • An execution-first mindset with a focus on rolling out processes in a sustainable fashion
  • Comfort in operating autonomously across multiple teams in different time zones, demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Comfort in navigating ambiguous, complex, evolving environments
  • Laser-focused on impact and achieving outcomes
  • Willing to travel/work at customer site(s) as needed
