About The Role
The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Optimization will lead the end-to-end optimization of our supply chain strategy across global sourcing, warehousing, logistics, compliance, and digital platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role tasked with unlocking greater value, resilience, and innovation across the supply chain function, aligning closely with the resort's scale, growth ambitions and luxury service standards.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain, person in this role will spearhead a portfolio of transformational initiatives, drive data-led decision-making, and embed best-in-class practices across a globally connected, locally responsive supply chain. Key duties and responsibilities of the role can be categorized as follows:
1. Strategic Warehousing & Inventory Optimization

• Lead the strategic transition to a new third-party warehousing provider in the JAFZA Free Zone, ensuring zero disruption to resort operations and continuity of service.
• Champion the development of value-added supply chain initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and long-term strategic capability.
• Oversee a comprehensive inventory reconciliation process, ensuring full system alignment, physical stock accuracy, and the establishment of a structured product catalogue.
• Design and implement a future-ready interface between Atlantis systems and the new Warehouse Management System (WMS), enabling full visibility, traceability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive improvements in warehouse space utilization and cost efficiency through intelligent pallet space reduction and inventory optimization strategies.

2. Global Freight & Forwarding Leadership

• Architect and execute a global logistics strategy centered around Ex-Works (EXW) Incoterms, consolidating and optimizing freight through a dedicated third-party forwarding partner.
• Negotiate commercial terms and service levels that balance speed, cost, and reliability while reinforcing supply chain resilience.
• Establish governance frameworks for freight performance and continuously identify opportunities for lead time reduction and landed cost improvement.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Certification Assurance

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to review, validate, and elevate product certification standards to ensure 100% compliance with UAE regulations across all imported goods.
• Build structured supplier engagement processes and ensure proactive adherence to regulatory updates, minimizing importation delays or non-compliance risks.

4. Global Sourcing & Logistics Innovation

• Partner with Procurement to rethink food and beverage logistics strategies, exploring direct sourcing models from global producers to reduce intermediaries and improve freshness and margin.
• Assess current limitations posed by trade license structures and co-develop long-term solutions to unlock strategic direct-import pathways.
• Guide and support broader global sourcing strategies (e.g., Far East sourcing), ensuring logistics infrastructure is aligned and scalable to support future growth.

5. Delivery Assurance & Supplier Performance

• Overhaul the order expediting process in collaboration with Procurement and the Supply Chain team to ensure every product is received in full and on the required date.
• Define and implement measurable KPIs to track supplier OTIF (On Time In Full) performance and use insights to drive accountability and supplier development.

6. Digital Supply Chain Transformation

• Champion digital innovation within the supply chain, identifying automation opportunities, system integrations, and AI-driven insights to improve efficiency, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Promote the use of real-time dashboards and reporting to provide transparency, predictability, and proactive risk management across the logistics network.

7. Systems Integration & Technology Leadership

• Lead the Procurement Systems team to ensure end-to-end connectivity and data integrity between Coupa, JDE, and all relevant supply chain systems (including WMS).
• Serve as a strategic advisor in digital platform upgrades and process automation projects, ensuring systems are fully leveraged to drive efficiency and control.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, seeking digital tools that enable better cost control, visibility, and collaboration across departments.

8. Group Supply Chain Strategy & Alignment

• Support the evaluation and implementation of strategies to strengthen supply chain collaboration across properties within the group.
• Work closely with leadership and other properties to assess current supply chain flows, harmonize demand planning, and streamline inbound logistics.
• Identify and propose shared logistics models and flexible solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and preserve operational continuity across the portfolio.
• Foster a connected, scalable supply chain ecosystem that supports group-wide sourcing strategies and future regional growth.

About You
We are looking for candidates who can meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain, with a strong blend of operational leadership and strategic transformation.
• At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality or service industry supply chain is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of GCC trade, warehousing, and logistics environments, including Free Zone operations and import/export frameworks.
• Proven expertise in INCO terms, with emphasis on Ex-Works execution and global freight coordination.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex digital and operational projects, including WMS rollouts, ERP integrations, and supply chain system transformations.
• Strong track record of change management, cross-functional leadership, and influencing at executive level.
