AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transportation Planning Director to lead the Middle East Strategic Transport Planning team. This candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful career path in transportation planning to serve as the head of our Strategic Transport planning team working with clients, diverse projects, and project teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to be highly organized, work well independently and collaboratively with the team, and the ability to communicate clearly. The selected candidate will support the growth and success of the transport planning team at AECOM. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to bring together diverse teams across geographic boundaries. This candidate will be a highly experienced manager with full oversight, authority, and accountability for larger, more visible, complex projects and teams. The candidate will play a key role in understanding the strategic development of client relationships and positioning for Transport opportunities.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Ability to work collaboratively with strong, dynamic teams

Experienced in the management of diverse project teams

Possesses technical excellence in transportation planning

Identifies and supports business development leads

Work to meet financial and project management goals as defined by the organization annually

Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects

Consistently delivers profit margins planned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor\'s Degree in civil engineering or another engineering discipline + 15 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications :

Masters\' Degree in civil engineering or another engineering discipline

15+ years of previous experience, including project management on transportation projects including Planning, Schematics or PS&E

Consultancy experience is a must

Experience managing multidisciplinary project with subconsultants

Ability to promote and initiate transportation solutions for a broad application of client needs

Experience with Business Development/Client Relations

Experience with Client proposals and interviews

Proven experience of success with pursuits

Experience with managing people at various experience levels and ability to mentor with their career development

Good communication skills and ability to manage a team
