Position Overview
The Director of Technical Facilities - Global Snow will lead the technical, facilities, and sustainability functions across Majid Al Futtaim's Global Snow assets. This senior leadership role ensures world-class maintenance, operational continuity, health and safety compliance, and integration of sustainability initiatives for snow and indoor ski facilities across the region and globally. The position requires strategic planning, strong technical expertise, and the ability to balance guest experience with large-scale technical projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical, facilities, and sustainability strategies for Global Snow assets in alignment with corporate and operational objectives.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for snowmaking systems, refrigeration plants, humidity control, insulation, and slope thermal balance.
• Ensure safe operations of chairlifts, ropeways, vertical transport systems, and grooming equipment in line with EN and ASTM standards.
• Drive energy efficiency, CO? reduction, and sustainability programs in line with Majid Al Futtaim's Net Positive commitment.
• Implement eco-friendly practices in facilities management including waste recycling and energy tracking.
• Manage major redevelopment projects such as the Ski Dubai refurbishment, ensuring guest experience continuity while executing large-scale technical upgrades.
• Oversee technical studies, design, and commissioning of new snow facilities globally.
• Champion a proactive safety culture, embedding risk management and continuous improvement practices.
• Deliver lifecycle planning, CAPEX projects, and digital transformation in technical operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering field.
• Advanced certifications in Facilities Management, Project Management, or Sustainability preferred.
• 10-15 years of senior leadership experience in technical and facilities management, preferably in snow resorts, ski facilities, leisure, or themed environments.
• Strong expertise in sustainability, energy management, and digital transformation.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, lifecycle planning, and technical CAPEX delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and international technical standards.
• Experience in ski resorts, snow operations, or large-scale entertainment facilities is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.
